You don't need to be too concerned with the overall color, especially if you plan on painting the table before you use it. For an authentic shabby chic style, choose a table with spindle legs, and a drawer is nice if you can find a table that includes one. If the table you find actually is a vanity table, it might have a mirror already included. If not, you can easily fashion one by propping a decorative mirror up on the top surface. Since a vanity table is usually a smaller piece of furniture, any table that will allow you to sit comfortably in front of it will do. If you want to achieve an elegant "Hollywood" style, you can find a more decorative table, painting it to suit your overall room decor. Add a few fun matching containers to the top of the vanity to hold makeup items and brushes, and she'll have all she needs to perform her morning beauty routines in style.
